Long Jetty offers a beautiful lakeside backdrop for relaxed family, couple and portrait sessions. Timber jetties, grassy surroundings and views across Tuggerah Lake give your photos a different feel from an ocean beach setting.
Setting
Choose portraits beside the lake, relaxed moments on the grassy foreshore or photographs featuring the timber jetties. We can keep your session on land with a jetty in the background—you don’t need to walk out onto one to enjoy the scenery.
Preferred lighting conditions
Late afternoon, leading into sunset, is my preferred time for this location. When conditions are right, the low sun creates warm light and beautiful colour across the lake. Early morning can also suit a quieter session with softer light.
The waterfront can be breezy, so we’ll choose our spot based on the weather and lighting on the day.
Access considerations
Parking is available nearby, with an allocated accessible parking space near the Long Jetty toilet block. Accessible toilets and shaded picnic tables are also available.
The foreshore has a flat concrete shared pathway, although some photo spots and seating require crossing grass. The jetty has timber slats and a narrow walkway, so it may not suit everyone’s comfort or mobility needs.
Please let me know if anyone uses a wheelchair or walker, needs seating or would prefer a short walk from parking. We can plan a suitable foreshore spot and keep walking to a minimum.
