Toowoon Bay Beach & Swadling Reserve

Toowoon Bay Beach and Swadling Reserve offer a lovely combination of coastal scenery and green surroundings for family, couple and portrait sessions.

Setting
Choose sandy shores and ocean views at Toowoon Bay Beach, or a relaxed park setting at Swadling Reserve above the beach. These neighbouring locations offer variety, with the option to include both settings if time and everyone’s mobility allow.

Preferred lighting conditions
Early morning or late afternoon are my preferred times for softer light on the beach. In the reserve, we can look for open shade when the sun is stronger. We’ll choose our spot based on the light, wind and weather on the day.

Access considerations
Parking is available near Swadling Reserve and the beach, with accessible parking and toilet facilities in the area.

A shared pathway connects the beach car park with the beach access and surf club facilities. Some routes include stairs, so we’ll confirm the most suitable meeting point and route before your session.

Beach portraits involve walking on soft sand, while reserve portraits may involve grass or uneven ground. Please let me know if anyone uses a wheelchair or walker, needs seating or would prefer a shorter walk, so we can plan around their comfort.
